Last of my fall 2013 outdoor shows...

Artists who show at festivals are much like triathletes.
Once the booth and art are up artists collapse for a few minutes.
Art on the Trail in Travelers Rest, SC was a lovely show.

The Travelers Rest Art Alliance did a wonderful job of assisting all artists.

It was promoted throughout the region and all volunteers were helpful from unloading, to offerer breaks, help with parking and more.

It was very well organized and I would be delighted to participate again.

The only downside, out of the many positives from this festival, was the lack of collectors in attendance. I spoke with many other artists and the sales were low especially for those who had two-dimensional works. Some of the more quirkier & upcycled three-dimensional pieces did quite well.

This is a small view of the last row before reaching the gazebo.
Close up of the location of my exhibit space.

Which begs to differ, are patrons not buying original art anymore? Nah, there are still many people who appreciate art and enjoy purchasing original works of art.

As for this festival, it is only in its 2nd year, as word of mouth spreads, collectors will seek come to this festival. Primarily because it had so much to offer from music, to entertainment, arts, food and so much more.

Here are pictures of my live paintings demonstration. I did change my position based on the sun. The painting time; between a few breaks and conversations with patrons, was about 4 hours. This painting is complete and will be added to my pathways page at abstractalexandra.com.
